There are two basic styles in wedding photography: classic and reportage/photojournalist. The classical wedding photographer is a way of saying that they spend a short amount of time composing their shots, some photographers take forever and some photographers more shorter and less time and fuss than others. When a wedding photograph is taken, everyone in the image is aware of it. Classic wedding photography include images you'd expect to see, that are various family group shots and of brides and grooms kissing under confetti. At Photography Weddings Glasgow we don't ask you kiss under confetti, kiss behind trees or ask everyone else to look at the bride and groom kissing as this is not natural to us. At most Photography Weddings Glasgow we encourage family and guests to take part in the photography shoot because we don't guard each and every photograph as extra £££ in the bank, NO, so we do not mind at all if auntie Cathie or uncle Bob uses his digital camera to take precious copyright photographs their is none, and we know sooner or later someone will ask you to kiss and we find this is a more natural and candid way for us to take wedding photographs and this is a bit more our style . Good classic photographers are often thanked by guests as well as bride and groom for being such fun and having helped keep the wedding day relaxed. Reportage/Photojournalism

The reportage  wedding photographer offers a photojournalist style, who is to be naturalistic in their approach,  this means that the people in the photograph aren't aware that a photograph is being taken, or if they are, they are not posing for it in any way. The style is about capturing events and moods as they happen rather than any directing of events. Being a good reportage photographer means being quick, having an eye for composition and knowledge of the wedding formats which only comes with years of experience as to where they should be and when. Wedding photojournalistic photographers will include some family group shots, that have been partially directed by guests or relatives you have chosen,  because of the need for friends and family pictures at most Glasgow weddings. The result is a very modem wedding album. Whatever style you choose, you have to like the photographers work!
